OK, thanks for the explanation. I have found that many of the 'PROPER's are indeed 6ch and my collection is mostly 2ch. So it does give me opportunity to upgrade some videos and get some I am missing without resorting to torrents. I never meant to imply I was unhappy about all the releases. I was mostly interested about the quality of my collection. So it's all good.

Well, after seeing that message on FB, I decided to ignore all those propers, as it is not worth it for me to re-download any of them for the 2ch-to-5ch, just my preference.

Many of the CU files that are finishing since CU's speed returned won't play even though their sizes are correct (to x.xxGB). Note that these did not have the " '); " extension. ALL of those files are OK.
examples:
You.Will.Meet.A.Tall.Dark.Stranger.2010.PROPER.720p.BluRay.H264.AAC-RARBG.www.RapidMovieZ.com
Macbeth 1971 PROPER 720p BluRay H264 AAC-RARBG www RapidMovieZ com
The.Fly.1958.PROPER.720p.BluRay.H264.AAC-RARBG.www.RapidMovieZ.com

To repeat, these files started downloading while CU was very slow and completed after CU returned to good speed.
Has anyone d/l and checked these files? Did something glitch them when CU fixed their problem?

I have found one corrupt file with the " '); " extension:
Enemy.Mine.1985.PROPER.720p.BluRay.H264.AAC-RARBG.www.RapidMovieZ.com
Also started when CU was slow and completed when fast.

The first CU file began and finished after CU had fast speed is The.Tailor.of.Panama.2001.PROPER.720p.BluRay.H264.AAC-RARBG.www.RapidMovieZ.com and it is fine.

I'll re-download one of the corrupt files to see if it corrupted during the d/l.

Another CU oddity. The file: All.That.Jazz.1979.PROPER.720p.BluRay.H264.AAC-RARBG.www.RapidMovieZ.com did not complete the download (did not auto rename after download) but does seem complete and after manual renaming does play. This was not a case of the " '); " problem.
btw, although it is another RARBG PROPER it is ONLY 2ch!

UPDATE: My apologies, there is nothing wrong with the CU file: Macbeth.1971.PROPER.720p.BluRay.H264.AAC-RARBG.www.RapidMovieZ.com. It appears that my CU files that were downloading when CU went from very slow to fast got glitched. Re-downloading this file resulted in a good video.

The other two files mentioned with the Macbeth video are also good once re-downloaded. I guess no one else noticed a problem with files in process of download when CU upgraded their site? ALL CU files I was downloading at that time glitched and had to be re-downloaded. If anyone was d/l at that time you need to recheck your file(s).

The other mentioned file: Enemy.Mine.1985.PROPER.720p.BluRay.H264.AAC-RARBG.www.RapidMovieZ.com also re-downloaded OK and works. Oddly, the " '); " extension is missing this time. So did RMZ re-up the file? or did CU add the " '); " extension during the slow period?

@Faruk, Wow, you should write sci-fi.
The interesting thing about the " '); " extension is that others were seeing it (read back a little farther). So, if I d/l a file with the " '); " extension and the file is corrupted (even after correcting the extension) and I d/l it again and the file does not have the " '); " extension, something changed external to my computer. I highly doubt RMZ replaced the corrupted file while maintaining the original path. Not impossible, but a lot of effort and requires cooperation at CU. The much more likely option is CU 'tagged' some files (has to be the actual filename not the database virtual name since we down-loaders got files with the 'tag'. Maybe there was a post or announcement that we missed about files with tags may be corrupted during the changeover.
The good news is that CU is operating as good or better than ever. To that end I say Thank You and YEA!!!
