Hi

My advise to you to uninstall the firefox but backup your book mark

1) backup bookmark - below is the guide
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them

2) after backup download the firefox again either you take lighter version or normal version for firefox esr
https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/91.0esr/
64 bit or 32 bit it depends on your machine

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ this is normal version and it will take out space of your ram if you OPEN MORE THAN 10 TABS

3. uninstall the new version firefox TAKE NOT THE ONCE UPDATE THE FIREFOX VERSION you CANNOT downgrade. Restart your laptop or pc

4. After you have install the firefox esr version
do not update follow the below guide and DO IT SLOWLY
AND READ SLOWLY DO NOT RUSH !!!

5. after you have install the firefox you restore your bookmark .

p.s I am not an admin but I am working in the IT industries and I test numbers of browsers still prefer firefox compare to other browsers.
