What is the difference between Web dl & Webrip?

WEB-DL is untouched download of video file with no transcoding, in MOST instances, WEBRip is screen grab of streaming file where such things as the video bit rate can be adjusted for best video quality for file size. It has been my observation recently, that Amazon WEBRips and WEB-DLs are not different, since videos I have compared with Media-info have the same bit rate and file size, but when Amazon WEBRips first came out, some had insanely high bit rates like the kind you get with 1080p HDTV DIMENSION releases, and most were extremely good quality, but as Amazon released Web-DLs of comparable quality for download, groups stopped transcoding them and just released them untouched. Why some are still labeled as WEBRip in the release title is a mystery to me, when very often the file contained within the release will then say WEB-DL.

I have read in scene forums of some groups using the 2160p streaming video available from places like Netflix to make very high bit rate 1080p WEBRips, like the ones you see from Netflix, for instance the Marvel series WEBRips like Marvel's Daredevil and Marvel's The Defender, which might explain why the picture quality was so good, I had difficulty distinguishing them from the 1080p Blu Ray Rip releases that came along later. I am not the all-knowing source of all things scene, so if anyone else can explain this better, please jump in.
