Having 6 channel AC3 audio @ 640 kb/s is a big deal to me, I stream my video through an HDMI audio/video processor that can process DolbY, DTS, and all of the variants of each, and up to 1080p video to TV, from all sources HDMI all devices with HDMI input, I like it. It was very, very inexpensive at Amazon a couple years ago, since it is a model that didn't have the new smart apps and wifi internet connectivity which the current models have. Since my Windows computer has HDMI out, I can get those apps there anyway. The receiver is HDCP compliant, so High Definition content can go through it, like a cable box/DVR, BluRay player, or Windows computer with Netflix, etc. and not be blocked by the copy protection inherent to HDMI standards and GPUs.
