Whoever is encoding these changed something over the last two days, these are lossless aac(m4a) audio and therefore not compatible with vlc player anymore. i've had to handbrake all of them

For everyone's info: VLC 3.0.3 all audio is pushed to the right channels due to there being no proper channel mask (the part of the codec that tells the player where the audio goes. Such as 5.1 or 2.1 etc.).

There has been a change in the settings somewhere since my setup has not changed but the audio has (common sense)...

I just finished encoding them to HEVC myself from the same sources via handbrake and have absolutely no issue with the resulting files

THE AUDIO SPEAKER PLACEMENT MASK WAS CHANGED FROM THIS:

Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: L R, LFE

TO THIS:
Channel(s) : 6 channels
Channel positions : Front: L C R, Side: C, Back: L R

Because of this it will not play correctly
