TonyS I just discovered the same thing, and found that I inadvertently downloaded the same misleading file last week as well.

I'm glad you educated yourself. Yes, episodes downloaded from the distributor's site (AMC, SyFy, CBS, etc) will often have the logo embedded. If you don't want logos get webrips from Amazon, Hulu, or Netflix.

As for the strange frame rate, you should have looked at the info of the source file to learn what CONVERT means.
"CONVERT: FILM which was converted to NTSC. The end result is a progressive source with blended frames throughout that can't be restored. Rule 7.7."

Continue to educate yourself, but please do it before wasting energy on bitching. That will help all of us.
