I love it when someone loses their mind over something so stupid.

1) if you can't watch HEVC why not look for this in h264

2) if VLC Player can't play these use another player like MPC

3) update VLC Player to the newest version should be able to play these.

I have an i7 so absolutely no problem playing HEVC 1080P with MPC. The picture and sound are incredible.

The first poster was complaining about HEVC being usless. And I got the impression that he wanted the site to stop uploading HEVC because he can't play it.

He or you need to understand just because you don't have a computer capable of playing HEVC doesn't mean that HEVC is useless.

Another option is to drop about $80 on one of those TV players that runs the Android version of Kodi. I've played 10 bit 1080p HEVC on one of those with no problems whatsoever.

LOL I did. I bought minix player $100.00. hated it. I won't go into why I hated it, but I did.

I've been using a Popcorn Hour for the past 8 or 9 years. Love it. L-O-V-E IT.

The newest model plays HEVC, or so they claim, but the cost of a new Popcorn Hour is 250.00 US.

IMHO you're going to enjoy your shows the most on the big screen TV so invest in a set top player.

I agree with you meridian on that. by the way what kodi player do you have?

I bought and Andoer Z4 direct from China (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Andoer-Z4-Android-5-1-TV-Box-2G-16G-WiFi-LAN-UHD-4K-2K-RK3368-Octa/32481112504.html). It was $70, when I got it a year ago. Down to $60 now. It had an older version of Kodi that wouldn't play HEVC, so I manually flashed it with the latest version and it worked great. Need to invest in a decent programmable remote though. Skipping forward and back with the simple one they included sucks.
